Brentwood is one of the highly desirable neighborhoods for dining on the Westside of Los Angeles. Tremendously coveted restaurants include such top-notch eateries such as Toscana, Tavern, Katsuya, The Brentwood and Sugarfish.
Should a client or dear friend give you a call and want to celebrate the holidays over a delicious meal, given the time of year, many of the restaurants that you’re familiar with might be booked. What’s one to do?
As a business woman who works in Brentwood, (and was born and raised in the area) I have witnessed the turnover of restaurants on the Blvd (San Vicente) and have tried them all. There are many restaurants that fly under the radar. To impress your lunch mate, bring them to Palmeri Ristorante (http://www.palmeriristorantespa.com). This authentic Italian bistro has a wonderful ambience, an expansive menu and I have always been impressed with their specials. I tend to crave seafood when I am out, and their salmon is one of the best dishes I have ever tasted.
Another option for Italian is off the Blvd, up on Barrington Circle. Divino (www.divinobrentwood.com) is more of an intimate environment in a neighborhood setting. Their Pizza Funghi is delicate and delicious, as is their Minestrone Soup. They also have two rooms that can be rented for parties or small events. The service is incredible and their servers are attentive and warm.
If you are in the mood for Sushi, Takao is a traditional Japanese spot (http://takaobrentwood.com). They have the most incredible lunch specials in town with many options for upgrades. The lunch special portions are plentiful and include both Miso Soup and a salad. To gain some wonderful health benefits, order a Green Iced Tea with your meal; you won’t be disappointed.
